Haley Odom, City High School's sophomore math and science teacher, took an eager group of students on an after school excursion to our neighbors at BATA, a fine dining establishment just a few blocks away from City High! Students learned about their focus on regional and sustainable food and took a tour of their space leading them through a hands-on fermentation project and feeding them a three course family meal! Thank you @batatucson for hosting our students!
Join us once again for another night of amazing student musical performances at 191 Toole on Friday, December 13th.
In collaboration with The Rialto Theatre, CITY Center music workshop students play loud and fast original songs that are sure to blow your mind.
Under the guidance of Danny Walker, students in our music workshop program learn and develop their instrumentation and songwriting skills, perform solo or in bands, and express their powerful creativity through music.
This event is a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting the music workshop program.
City High School Community Days connect students to their community and provide a great opportunity for students to do hands-on service learning projects that impact the wellness of our community.
Organized by advisory, students spent the day supporting the Community Food Bank, Community Village Farm, TRAK, Primavera Foundation, Armory Park Senior Center, and more.
Engaging our students in community partnerships supports their personal and academic growth, build their leadership and collaborative competencies, and creates a stronger connection to their city.
